Who are we?
LAMBDA Heat Pumps manufactures its own highly efficient heat pumps that run on natural refrigerants. Our young company was founded in 2019 by managing directors Florian Entleitner and Florian Fuchs. Right from the start, they received multiple awards for their innovative and novel approaches and were granted several coveted startup grants. Today, LAMBDA Wärmepumpen produces many thousands of air-source heat pumps each year. The company’s growth is in the triple-digit percentage range.
Develop where others test!
In Austria, especially in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps, the weather can be quite harsh. Temperatures of -15°C in winter are not uncommon. This is exactly where LAMBDA Wärmepumpen GmbH has its headquarters. Our heat pumps are optimized for these extreme climatic conditions. And all this to ensure maximum comfort at minimal energy costs!
Our mission is clear: We want to establish significantly more energy-efficient heat pumps on the market. Heat pumps should be able to operate in an environmentally friendly and cost-effective manner not only in new construction but also in existing buildings, thereby offering a genuine alternative to oil and gas. True to our motto: SUSTAINABLY EFFICIENT.
Grants and technological support
LAMBDA Heat Pumps is one of the most innovative startups in Austria in recent years. For this reason, we were accepted by Austria Wirtschaftsservice (AWS) into the rigorous “Preseed” and “Seed Financing” support program for high-tech startups. In addition, the development of the 3K process was supported by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG).
With the Eureka air-source heat pump series, significantly more efficient air-source heat pumps have been brought to production readiness. Measurement series conducted by an independent testing institute confirm that, compared to the current highest efficiency standard for heat pumps, A+++, annual electricity savings of 30% are achieved.
The Evolution of Eureka
- Efficiency testing conducted by an independent testing institute for the Eureka-Luft EHPA series: Quality seal and TÜV certification; market launch of the Eureka-L air-source heat pump series (EU08L and EU13L)
- "Seed financing" grant approval from Austria Wirtschaftsservice (AWS) for high-tech startups
- Expansion of production capacity for series production
- Recipient of the Austrian State Prize for Innovation in the "VERENA" category
- 400th heat pump sold
